This is a farm town and a mill town where people have lived and worked for 110 years now.

Many locals commute to Hillsboro, Oregon and work at INTEL or one of the many employers in the growing Silicon Forest just 3 miles to the East. The town has a grade school, several parks, quiet streets and is surrounded by gorgeous farm land that is protected by the State of Oregon for agriculture. North Plains is home to the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course where Tiger Woods won his US Amateur before launching his pro career. The little town is one of the only towns in the West end of the Tualatin Valley and real estate values have increased and will continue to do so as this bucolic little place has thousands of jobs at the doorstep and features an all Highway commute where traffic still moves well. Cross the Sunset to the South 3 miles and you will be in Historic Downtown Hillsboro. North Plains wants to stay small and their people are politically active and Farmer savvy. The old timers and newcomers mix quite nicely and several new neighborhoods are coming to the East edge of the City.
